The Mallorca Move

All you need to know, why I am here.

Since a few weeks I live in Palma, Mallorca.
It is great and has certainly been one of the better ideas in my life to take this step and move here. I always had the thought to go to the south and in February 2021 I had decided to do it. I had to get out of my dream apartment in Düsseldorf, so I started looking for a new dream apartment in Palma. I sold, gave away or donated everything that I had not really needed in recent years, or in any case did not want to drag with me to Mallorca. That was quite a lot of stuff. Once in a lifetime you should make such a cut. I can recommend that to everyone. It is a liberation from all the rust that had accumulated over time and all the ballast that only makes you lazier and lazier without you noticing it, because you have become accustomed to all this stuff over time.

The beauty of Mallorca lies in its diversity.

So with a big suitcase, a big backpack and no more than 30 moving boxes of things you need or don't really want to part with, I moved to Palma in August. Of course, leaving behind friends you've grown fond of over the years isn't easy. That's really the hard part of this story. It is comforting to know that some friends will be happy to visit and see me here. However, since I already knew dear people here in Mallorca, I have made new good friends in the meantime and slowly it feels a bit more like home every day.

For my kind of photography Mallorca is wonderful! Anyone who has ever been here knows that this island not only offers everything you need for a good life, but that it is above all so diverse and offers a cornucopia of dream locations.
